Irene Cécile

Irene Cécile (NL, 1981)

I'm Irene. I like making beautiful things.
That's why I studied biology (see beautiful things) and photography (make beautiful things).
And now I do it all day. As a photographer, illustrator, designer, as a web designer.
Looking at beautiful things, making beautiful things. For myself and for other people.

And besides, I'm just a girl. I like walking barefoot on the grass. I like spending time with friends. I like unexpected beauty, thai curry and empty notebooks.

If you look closely they are everywhere

There is nothing wrong with utility, responsibility, ambition and hard work. But sometimes it's too much. You do not feel like it anymore, you wish everything was just much simpler.
In 'If you look closely they are everywhere - guide to a more playful life’ Irene Cécile shows you how. More playfulness, lightness, acceptance, coincidence. Less perfection, aspirations and plans. So you become calmer, more flexible. Gain self-confidence, more control. You become more enthusiastic, more committed, more playful, energetic, motivated, freer. And happier.
Especially now. Nice useless fun.
Nothing needs to change. And yet, everything will be different.

Irene Cécile studied Biology at Leiden University and Photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, The Hague (NL). She participated in exhibitions at Shanghai World Expo, GEM in The Hague and Dutch Photomuseum in Rotterdam (NL).
