Lieke Anna (NL, 1988)

​

Lieke Anna is a fine art photographer living in a small fisherman's village in the south of the Netherlands. She adores to explore the world around her. ​The small village makes for a quiet base from where she can create her conceptual photographs.
​When she was fifteen years old she worked all summer at a grocery, so she could afford her first camera: a Fujifilm finepix. A couple of years later she applied for the Fine Art Academy in Tilburg where she graduated in 2011 with a degree in Visual Communication.
​During her studies she started making self-portraits and explored the conceptual way of creating. Telling stories through imagery, creating from within, evoking emotions, that is what she does.
​​Her images tend to be on the darker side, a little surreal at times and fairy-tale looking with a painterly feel to it.
